12 years a slave poster backlash [PHOTO\VIDEO], In one of the oddest
controversies of this month in film, an Italian theater decided to
display an updated version of a 12 Years a Slave promotional poster with
Brad Pitt as the main focus.
Being that the Steve McQueen film is about slavery and not
the white man featured so prominently on the poster, this has incited
international backlash.
This is all thanks to a Tumblr user who posted a picture of the display on his account.

600 brawl [VIDEO], Police in Jacksonville, Fla., say made five arrests after more than 600 people got into a brawl in the parking lot of a movie theater.
The 600-person brawl broke out in the Regal River City Marketplace theater parking lot around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, WJXT-TV, Jacksonville, reported.

Jet wing hits a building [PHOTOS\VIDEO], The wing of a jetliner carrying 189 travelers cut through a building
at the airport in Johannesburg, South Africa, just as the plane was
about to take off on Sunday night.
The accident at Tambo airport late Sunday night was caused by the airliner using the wrong taxi way which was too narrow for the passenger jet, the South African Civil Aviation Authority said Monday.
Air traffic control had told the flight crew of the British Airways Boeing 747-400 departing for London to use a specific taxi way, said SACAA spokeswoman Phindiwe Gwebu in a statement.

a San Francisco animal center Monday, two days after the micro
10-month-old pup was spotted on a recycling conveyor belt -- minutes
from death.
San Francisco Animal Care and Control is investigating how she wound up in the trash. The Poodle mix was suffering from what appeared to be animal bites around her neck.
She was also suffering from lameness in her hind legs and had discharge in her eyes and ears.

Laney is battling a rare form of leukemia and had just one wish this holiday season - to hear Christmas carolers sing.
