NYC nanny stabbing [PHOTO/VIDEO]. A mother returning to her luxury New York apartment with her 3-year-old found her other two children stabbed to death in a bathtub and the kids' nanny lying unconscious nearby.
NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne told WCBS-AM that the mother, identified by the New York Post as a pediatrician, came home about 5:30 p.m. ET with her 3-year-old daughter to find her 6-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son stabbed multiple times in the tub. The nanny was found on the bathroom floor with apparently self-inflicted stab wounds to her neck and holding a kitchen knife.
Neighbors reported hearing the mother's hysterical screams as she called 911. She reportedly was taken to the hospital in shock.
The children were rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The nanny was arrested and was in extremely critical condition at the same hospital.
